honestly, he shouldn't be too surprised that he is, making a face in the direction of the dancefloor before turning his attention back to seong. sunni likes the way he's dressed tonight, wishing he could get close enough to slide his hands right under his shirt and feel him up, but he's trying for good behavior, instead propping an elbow on the table and resting his chin in his hand. he hasn't had as much to drink, though he's considering it now since he doesn't have anything else to do to occupy him. not even the music is that good, and he doubts they're going to come back to this place unless there's nothing better to do.
his expression wrinkles at the question, dropping his hand onto the table and stretching out to reach for the glass seong is sipping from. their tastes are a somewhat different in that regard, but he won't mind if he helps himself to a little sample. when one of the workers comes by, he'll order more. ]
Why does it matter where I've been? [ sunni smiles at him over the rim of the glass and then sets it down, shifting closer. ] Are you planning to take me somewhere?
[ maybe they could got to a private island and fuck on every inch of it. ]
[ seong watches sunni reach for his drink and even pushes it closer so he can snake it more easily. he probably shouldn't finish his fourth drink anyway, especially not when the drinks at this place are about as good as the music is. it isn't as if he can taste anything in it aside from the cheap vodka they're selling at premium prices. but he isn't really thinking about that and it kind of pisses him off.
he catches himself sighing, draping his arm along the back of the booth as he watches sunni. ]
I guess it doesn't. [ does it even matter where he's been himself? he's not sure. willing some of the new tension in his shoulders away, he pulls a face. ] You never sent me that list. You're gonna have to if you want me to take you somewhere nice.
[ it still feels like a strange thing to ask, and it's annoying how seong doesn't even bother to answer. so, he drinks another mouthful of whatever piss is in the glass and decides to help himself to seong's personal space, sliding in against him and tucking himself in that spot where his body is practically begging for it. this is a little better; at least they're close enough he can touch him now. ]
I'll think about it. [ a beat, and he presses against him with his shoulder. ] Are you more worldly than Japan? Or is that the only place you've really seen?
[ it's not quite a barb. he's not in the mood to bait him the way he might have if they'd been home or if seong had done something to really annoy him. as it stands, he's a bit flushed from the few cheap drinks he's had, and he's sort of in the mood to put on a show for the wandering pair of eyes from the booth not too far from theirs. ]
[ it's almost a given, the way seong's arm drops from the back of the booth enough that he can slide fingers across the curve of sunni's shoulder. they'll probably never come back to this club, but it's not the unholiest worst with him tucked against him. it doesn't take him long to let those questions roll off of him, dipping his head to graze his teeth along the edge of sunni's jaw and stopping at his ear.
seong never actually wants to talk, but he wants to right now for some reason and that likely all simmers down to the fact he likes him more than he's liked anyone in a long time. that should grate against one of the numerous raw nerves he has, but it doesn't. ]
A client took me to Jeju once. Thought she'd give me some culture. Just Japan other than that. [ with a gentle pinch of teeth to the shell of sunni's ear, he eases back. ] You ever been?
[ whatever he's saying almost doesn't matter the second seong gets his mouth on his skin. he could speak in some language he doesn't know, and sunni wouldn't have cared, eyes closing as he leans into the press of his teeth. a dare to do more than lightly tease him, to bite down and leave a mark. it's the first time he's ever really wanted someone to do it, never having really cared for the reminder before.
but everything about seong has soaked into him, and it's impossible to forget that some of what he's said is the truth. he might actually belong to him now. ]
No, [ he murmurs, only loud enough that seong can hear him over the thrum of the bass. sunni leans forward, eyes on the other's mouth as he talks. ] My family never has business there. It's always in Europe or somewhere else I don't really care about. [ he stops just short of kissing him, their noses touching. ] Are you going to take me there?
[ seong doesn't stop the way his lips pull into a smile as he watches sunni look at them, always a little too sharp to be soft. he could take him to japan, of course. take him to every single place he used to haunt, show him where all these people coming out of the woodwork originate from. there are a lot of things he could do and before he thinks of dark hallways and voices coming from empty rooms, he almost thinks he might.
instead, he eases through what little distance there is between them to allow his lips to brush against sunni's when he speaks up. ]
Probably not unless you ask me to. [ which he doesn't think sunni will, honestly. not that he's calling his bluff. ] Since you don't care about Europe, what places do you care about?
[ it's a good distraction, for the moment. sunni doesn't answer right away, nudging in closer to chase after the taste of seong's drink with a bit of tongue. if he hadn't thought about it too much, it would have been enough to make him forget seong had been a little weird just a few minutes ago. that they're talking about places to visit when he really wants to get up and leave this bar. or, at the very least, christen the bathroom by getting down on his knees for seong.
all he does is hum against his mouth instead, his fingers teasing along his chest and down the center of his abdomen. ]
Anywhere but here. [ and now, he's thinking about exactly what he wants as he nips at seong's lower lip. ] You can take me there tomorrow. Show me all the places you like. Even the ones you don't. I'll make sure you've changed your mind about them before we come home.
[ with another light trail of his fingers against the curve of sunni's shoulder, seong pulls back into his own space, tongue tracing the feeling of teeth for a beat. there are boundaries that should be clear — not fair weather lines in the sand, but harsh grooves dug between them. too bad he's three and a half drinks deep in cheap vodka and sunni's proximity.
if nothing else makes him stupid as shit, it's the latter. that's a problem. seong isn't interested in fixing it, though. making it worse seems to be the only thing worth chasing after. ]
I've got a place in Tokyo. [ if sunni doesn't mind a little dust, but he's sure he does. the only fingerprints left in that apartment above the club are the ones he left the last time he was in japan. ] You're gonna have to really work at changing my mind about the places I don't like. You really think you're up for it?
[ sunni lets him go and only breaks contact enough to order another drink. he should stay sober, but there's nothing wrong with some clumsy pawing on their way out of this shitty club. that seong even continues on down this path interests him, and he wonders what kind of gritty things he'd show him if they left for japan tomorrow. it's not a long flight; he'd checked when seong had gone the first time. simply out of curiosity.
he settles in close again and watches him, thinks about climbing into his lap and grinding down on him. ]
I think I can handle myself. [ his smile is almost sweet. ] I want to see your little part of paradise. Maybe it'll tell me some things about you I don't already know.
